Güral offers DC Series Disconnectors for DC systems switching solutions. Specially designed for outdoor or subterranian railway applications, DC Series Disconnectors and its driving series products have proven their design efficency and reliability all over the country and have fulfilled the customers' requirements.
The DC Series Disconnectors are intended for currentless switching in railway applications.
The flexibility of the design of Güral DC Series Disconnectors allows almost any custom solutions requested by the client, including earthing capabilities of load, supply or both terminals, insulation levels, driving variations and construction assembly types.

DCN Disconnectors
|
DCN Disconnectors are normal type DC disconnectors without earthing switches. DCN Disconnectors has the same main circuit electrical characteristics with DCE Disconnectors, and are suitable for indoor use as well as outdoor applications.

DCE 10 Disconnectors |
DCE 10 Disconnectors are equipped with integrated earthing blades at load side, operating either synchronised with the main switch or independently with second drive unit. The mechanical interlock that is designed to prevent operators' false commands is a standard accessory of the product.

DCE 20 Disconnectors |
DCE 20 Disconnectors are equipped with integrated earthing blades at supply side, operating either synchronised with the main switch or independently with second drive unit. The mechanical interlock that is designed to prevent operators' false commands is a standard accessory of the product.

DCE 30 Disconnectors |
DCE 30 Disconnectors are equipped with integrated earthing blades both at load and supply side, operating either synchronised with the main switch or independently with second and third drive units. The mechanical interlocks that are designed to prevent operators' false commands are standard accessories of the product.

Base and Shaft
|
The DC Disconnectors consists of one pole. One pole DC disconnector consist of a base, two support insulators, one operating rod insulator, a continuous main shaft (hexagonal transmission 27) and a main blade that moves in a vertical plane. All steel parts of the DC Disconnectors switch base are hot-dip galvanized.

Insulators |
The disconnectors can be equipped with insulators in accordance with IEC, ANSI or DIN specifications.

The twin sectioning blades and terminals are made of electrolytic copper. Terminals and contact surfaces of blades are nickel or silver plated.
The twin sectioning blades are pressed on terminal contacts by means of a number of spiral springs depending on required contact pressure due to short-circuit capability, ensure that the current is transferred from the terminal contacts into twin sectioning blades. This blade and contact construction is maintenance free.
The contacts are self-cleaning, which makes the disconnector suitable for installation in all areas with severe climatic conditions.

Earthing Switch |
Güral DC disconnectors with earthing switches may be equipped with earthing switches, which can be built-on to the supply and/or load side. An mechanical inter lock between the main and earthing shaft is available.

Operating Mechanism |
|
The DC disconnectors can be single pole operated by means of a motor operated drive mechanism or a hand operated drive mechanism.
Güral DC disconnectors can be drived by any controlgear model designed by Güral; drive model is to be decided according to application requirements.

DC disconnectors are designed and tested in accordance with latest IEC standards.

| Installation |
DC disconnectors are completely assembled and adjusted in our workshops. Its design permits both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The construction is designed so that all disconnectors can be installed at site very easily, without the need of any special tools. For each switchgear an instruction manual for transportation, mounting and commissioning is enclosed. This instruction manual should be strictly followed.

| Maintenance |
DC disconnectors supplied by Güral are designed so as to ensure that they are maintenance free.
However, to guarantee a long and trouble-free service period, we advise that a visual inspection of the contacts and bearing points be carried out at regular intervals.
