Güral introduces air insulated HAY/ HTYSeries Outdoor Switch-Disconnectors of normal, with earthing blade types and HAKY/ HTKYSeries Outdoor Switch-Disconnectors with Breaking Whip of normal, with earthing blade types : a solid and compact solution for medium voltage systems. The design combines leading compactness of its class with maximum electrical and mechanical endurances as described in the relevant standards.
For many years Güral outdoor switch-disconnectors have guaranteed an excellent position in switchgear engineering. These switch-disconnectors master the daily loads exerted under normal switching duty - for interrupting ring feeders, disconnecting network transformers and such - with very high operating frequencies and a minimum amount of maintenance. These switch-disconnectors are distinguished by simple design, absolute reliability in operation and easy actuation.
The HAY/ HTY Series outdoor switch-disconnectors are fitted with an arc extinguishing chamber and HAKY/ HTKY Series outdoor switch-disconnectors are fitted with a breaking whip.
Güral Outdoor Switch Disconnectors offer robust and reliable solutions for medium – voltage systems. The 1-, 2- and 3-pole Outdoor switch- disconnectors are applicable for a wide range system voltages from 12 kV to 36 kV and a rated current range from 400 A to 630 A. The rated short time current is up to 25 kA for a duration of 1 s depending on the model has been tested.
The flexibility of the design of Güral MV Outdoor switch disconnectors allows almost any custom solutions requested by the client.
Base and Shaft
MV Outdoor switch disconnector consists of single, two or three poles with or without earthing switches. Single, two and three poles switch disconnectors consistof a base, a number of fixed support insulators depending on type of switch disconnector, one/two/three operating insulators depending on number of phases, a main shaft, an earthing shaft for earthing switch and one/two/three main blades depending on number of phases that moves in a vertical plane. All steel parts of the disconnector are hot-dip galvanized.
Insulators
The switch disconnector can be equipped with insulators in accordance with IEC, ANSI or DIN specifications.
Current carrying part
The twin sectioning blades and terminals are made of electrolytic copper. Terminals and contact surfaces of blades are silver plated.
The twin sectioning blades are pressed on terminal contacts by means of a number of spiral springs depending on required contact pressure due to short-circuit capability, ensure that the current is transferred from the terminal contacts into twin sectioning blades. This blade and contact construction is maintenance free.
The contacts are self-cleaning, which makes the switch disconnector suitable for installation in all areas with severe climatic conditions.
Arc extinguishing chamber NPAK5 for switch-disconnectors up to 24kV and types HAY/ HTY
The fault (short-circuit or earth fault) shall be cleared by a circuit breaker before opening switch disconnectors.
HAY/ HTY switch-disconnectors can be closed against fault if the specified short-circuit making current is not exceeded.
Breaking chamber NPAK5 has an internal spring device and the making capacity is independent of the operating speed.
Arc extinguishing chamber L2 for 36kV switch-disconnectors types HAY/ HTY
Arc exitinguishing chamber L2 is only used for breaking the currents up to 400A.
Breaking whip for switch-disconnectors types HAKY/ HTKY
A simple disconnector can be fitted with breaking whips to have the breaking capacity. The disconnectors are always fitted with breaking whips to safely break the load currents.
Earthing switch
Güral MV Outdoor switch disconnectors may be equipped with earthing switches. An interlocking between the main and earthing shaft is available. The interlock prevents earthing the disconnector closed or vice versa.
Operating mechanism
The switch disconnectors can be single, two or three poles operated by means of a motor-operated drive mechanism or a manual-operated drive mechanism.
Güral Outdoor switch disconnector can be drived by any controlgear model designed by Güral; drive model is to be decided according to application requirements.
Testing
MV Outdoor switch disconnectors are designed and tested in accordance with latest IEC standards.
Installation
MV Outdoor switch disconnectors are completely assembled and adjusted in our workshops. Its design permits both vertical and horizontal mounting.
The construction is designed so that all outdoor switch disconnectors can be installed at site very easily, without the need of any special tools. For each switchgear an instruction manual for transportation, mounting and commissioning is enclosed. This instruction manual should be strictly followed.
Maintenance
The MV Outdoor switch disconnectors supplied by Güral are designed so as to ensure that they are maintenance free.
However, to guarantee a long and trouble-free service period, we advise that a visual inspection of the contacts and bearing points be carried out at regular intervals.
